A Baby is a Gift From a Bob is a song from The Rugrats Movie. It is sung by Susie and Angelica. Which is based on twinkle twinkle little star and the alphabet song. The joke is that the song is supposed to be "A Baby is a Gift from Above", but Angelica and Susie mispronounce it as "A Gift from a Bob", which makes the babies believe that Tommy's new baby sister is a present from someone named Bob.
Lyrics[]
Susie:
A baby is really neat, a baby is a special treat
A baby is like a rose, a baby has a tiny nose
A baby is a little dickins, a baby is a cuddly chicken
A baby is lots of joy,
Angelica:
A baby will get all the toys
Susie:
What are you doing?
A baby has a smiley face
Angelica:
A baby is from outside space!
Susie:
Angelica!
Angelica:
Susie!
Susie:
A baby is extra fancy
Angelica:
A baby poops in its pantsies! Hahahaha
Susie:
Cut it out!
Angelica:
No!
Susie:
Like a birdie singing in a tree.
Angelica:
More like Reptar screaming in your ear.
Both:
A baby is a gift, a gift from a bob.
A baby is a gift from a bob, bob, bob.
A baby is a gift, a gift from a bob.
Susie:
That's enough Angelica
Angelica:
Nu-uh
Susie:
A baby is awful cute
Angelica:
A baby is just plain awful
Susie:
Like a birdie singing in a tree
Angelica:
More like Reptar screaming in your ear
Both:
A baby is a gift, a gift from a bob.
A baby is a gift from a bob, bob, bob.
A baby is a gift, a gift from a bob.
Susie:
A baby is very special.
Angelica:
A baby is, is NOT!
Trivia[]
- Composer Mark Mothersbaugh played the accordion on this song.
- In the film, the babies have dialogue over Susie and Angelica's lines about whether a baby is "awfully sweet" or "just plain awful". The film also cuts the repeat of the chorus.
