Characters Present[]

Characters Introduced[]

Plot[]

When Chas' library book, "The History of Nasal Inhalers", is due, he takes the Rugrats to the library to return it. While there, Chas decides to get library cards for Chuckie and Kimi, saying that they're "the window to the world". But will the Rugrats obey the librarian's rules to keep quiet, not eat, and to put the books back? Meanwhile, Chas's library privileges are revoked when the strict librarian noticed a microscopic tear on a book's cover, forcing him to make a deal.

Trivia[]

  • Production-wise, this is the first episode to feature Nancy Cartwright as the voice of Chuckie following Christine Cavanaugh's retirement.
  • The show goes back to having two stories instead of three.
  • Dil doesn't appear in this episode.
  • The title's name is the exact same as one of the episodes from Tom & Jerry.
  • Phil and Lil are unfamiliar with libraries, but they mention enjoying them (especially the tables and chairs to crawl under and finding stuff stuck to them) in the earlier episode "What's Your Line".
    • It's possible this episode is supposed to predate that one.
  • Morals:
    • Be responsible and careful with your library books.
    • Reading books can be interesting.
